Patna, Aug 5 (NationPress) In a pivotal political maneuver as the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections approach, Tej Pratap Yadav, the eldest son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, has declared the establishment of a new coalition comprising five regional parties, centered around the principles of social justice and total transformation.
During a press conference at Maurya Hotel in Patna, Tej Pratap revealed that his alliance includes the Vikas Vanchit Insaan Party (VVIP), Bhojpuriya Jan Morcha (BJM), Pragatisheel Janta Party (PJP), Wajib Adhikar Party (WAP), and Samyukta Kisan Vikas Party.
He elaborated, “The goal of our coalition is straightforward—social justice, social rights, and a complete overhaul. If we receive the public's backing, we are committed to the all-encompassing development of Bihar. We aspire to realize the aspirations of Lohia, Karpoori Thakur, and Jayaprakash Narayan,” Tej Pratap asserted.
Additionally, he extended an invitation to the RJD to join his coalition while firmly rejecting any partnership with the BJP or JD-U.
“Our ideology is rooted in socialism and we will not ally with parties like the BJP and JD-U,” he emphasized.
In response to RJD state president Mangani Lal Mandal's claim questioning his relevance in the party, Tej Pratap retorted, “Mandal should take his kamandal and head to Banaras or Vrindavan. We’ll send him to our Guruji’s ashram there.”
When questioned about Tejashwi potentially contesting from the Mahua Assembly seat, Tej Pratap stated, “Tejashwi will not run from Mahua. I have always encouraged him to advance. I do not seek any position or the Chief Minister's chair. Our aim is to unite the Yadavs and Muslims.”
Tej Pratap confirmed his candidacy for the upcoming elections from Mahua as an independent, asserting that he enjoys robust support from the populace.
“We have heralded a new chapter for Mahua. Today marks the beginning of our new political journey. Many adversaries may be apprehensive of our progress, but we are determined to advance,” he stated.
He also criticized Mukesh Sahani’s VIP (Vikassheel Insaan Party) as a “disguised party,” insisting that the genuine Nishad party stands with him.
“We refuse to be ensnared by Jaichands. Our coalition will champion the dreams of Bihar’s marginalized communities,” he concluded.
