Hyderabad, Dec 28 (NationPress) The family of a young woman who reportedly took her own life organized a demonstration, bringing her body to the residence of her alleged lover in the Sangareddy district of Telangana. Claiming that it was a murder and accusing her lover of involvement, relatives carried her body to the doorstep of S. Srikanth's home in Manik Naik Tanda, located in the Nizampet mandal.
V. Kaveri, aged 23, originally from Kadapal Vithal Naik Tanda in Sirgapoor mandal, was in a romantic relationship with Srikant. They had intentions of marrying, but their families opposed the union.
Faced with parental disapproval, the couple relocated to Hyderabad and began living together in LB Nagar.
According to police reports, Kaveri reportedly died by hanging due to disagreements with Srikanth at their residence in Hyderabad. However, her parents insist that Srikanth is responsible for her death, claiming he staged it to appear as a suicide.
Following their complaint, authorities opened an investigation. As Kaveri's body was being transported back to her hometown for burial on Saturday night, her relatives halted at Srikanth's house to demand justice.
As tensions escalated, police dispatched additional personnel to the village to prevent any potential unrest.
Efforts were underway by local leaders to mediate a resolution between the families.
In a separate incident in Hyderabad, a class 10 student tragically died, allegedly by suicide, after being reprimanded by his father for failing to concentrate on his studies.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Domalguda Police Station.
Arvind, the son of Kolla Rakesh and Latha, was found hanging at home when no one else was present. He was a student at a private school in Gandhi Nagar.
Rakesh had scolded his son for not putting in adequate effort academically. Reports indicate that the boy was under significant stress related to exam performance.
The police have initiated an inquiry into the matter.
