The mishap transpired around 3:30 pm on Thursday when a section of an underground tunnel caved in within Zhenping County, part of the city of Ankang. At the time of the collapse, eight workers were engaged in rectification activities, with five successfully escaping, according to the county authorities, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.
