Kolkata, May 13 (NationPress) The lifeless body of Pritam Majumdar, the son of Rinku Majumdar, who recently married Dilip Ghosh, the former National Vice-President of the BJP and ex-President of the West Bengal party, was found under perplexing circumstances on Tuesday at his residence in New Town, Kolkata.
Pritam was the son of Rinku from her previous marriage.
Once his body was identified, it was initially sent to a private hospital in New Town and subsequently referred to Bidhannagar Sub-divisional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The body was later transported to the state-run R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata for an autopsy, which is anticipated to be completed on the same day, allowing for cremation at Nimtala crematorium in the evening.
According to sources from the state police, while the precise cause of death will be ascertained only after a thorough autopsy report is available, it is suspected that an overdose of medication may be involved.
Investigators have learned that the deceased was undergoing several medications due to health issues.
At the time of this report, neither Dilip Ghosh nor Rinku Majumdar had commented on the incident.
Last month, following their marriage, the deceased expressed happiness about his mother’s decision to begin a new chapter in her life.
However, he did not attend the wedding as he was away from Kolkata.
Pritam worked in an Information Technology Enabled Service (ITeS) firm based in the IT hub of Sector-5, Salt Lake, close to his home.
