This seizure is part of a broader crackdown on narcotics in Gujarat. Earlier in February, authorities uncovered an extensive illegal cannabis plantation in Bhavnagar, seizing drugs worth over Rs 10.9 crore, including cannabis and opium. Additionally, in early March, law enforcement detected a significant urban distribution network in GIFT City, recovering hybrid ganja worth over Rs 26 lakh from a rented apartment. In another operation, the ANTF seized 5.177 kg of ganja in Sabarkantha district's Prantij area and arrested one suspect while further investigations are underway to uncover the broader supply network.
