He cited a series of alleged incidents to support his case: that members of the ruling party were purportedly involved in the sexual exploitation of more than 500 women in Salem; that a party functionary in Alandur had allegedly misbehaved with a widow; and that a woman police constable in Sivaganga had allegedly been subjected to sexual assault. These allegations, he argued, pointed to a systemic breakdown in public safety.

Government Under Fire Over Governance Priorities

Udhayanidhi Stalin alleged that more than a month after the new government assumed office, no effective steps had been taken to strengthen law and order. He claimed public confidence in the government's ability to ensure safety was being steadily eroded. Taking a direct swipe at Chief Minister Vijay, he alleged that greater attention was being devoted to political activities than to governance and public safety — a charge the government has not publicly responded to.

Warning of Statewide Protest

Raising the political stakes, Udhayanidhi Stalin warned that if similar incidents continued to occur in Tamil Nadu, he would seek permission from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leadership to launch a statewide protest against the government's handling of law and order.
