Chandigarh, Feb 1 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini declared that the Union Budget is a groundbreaking and historic document aimed at achieving a Viksit Bharat. On Sunday, he extended his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting this welfare-centric Budget. He highlighted the Budget’s three primary visions: speed, capacity, and inclusive growth.
During the presentation, Union Minister Sitharaman revealed plans to increase public capital expenditure to Rs 12.2 lakh crore by 2026-27. “This significant capital expenditure of Rs 12.2 lakh crore for 2027 and the development of City Economic Regions will invigorate the progress of Haryana, which focuses on industrial development and infrastructure,” said the Chief Minister.
CM Saini mentioned that the allocation of Rs 10,000 crore for the MSME sector will greatly benefit Haryana.
Furthermore, he expressed that the development of 15 archaeological sites will enhance global recognition of Haryana's historical heritage, including sites like Rakhigarhi.
He also emphasized that investments in the AI and Quantum Mission will solidify Gurugram's status as a leading global tech hub.
The Chief Minister noted that the Central assistance aimed at reclaiming saline and waterlogged land in Haryana will be a blessing for farmers in the state.
“The increased funding for the agricultural sector and the focus on the Digital Agriculture Mission are commendable initiatives designed to enhance farmers' income,” he remarked.
The Budget also proposes the establishment of large textile parks and high-speed rail corridors nationwide.
“This budget is a pivotal move towards positioning India as the world's third-largest economy,” concluded the Chief Minister.
State Transport Minister Anil Vij noted that the Budget was crafted with foresight, equilibrium, and a spirit of inclusive development, ensuring direct advantages for every societal segment.
He asserted that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, this Budget will fast-track the nation towards its goal of becoming a Developed India by 2047 at the speed of a bullet train.
He believed that the Budget had duly recognized the interests of farmers, workers, the middle class, industry, youth, and women, addressing both current and future economic and social requirements.
