New Delhi, Feb 1 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah applauded the Union Budget 2025-26 on Sunday, asserting that Prime Minister Modi has demonstrated that a self-reliant and developed India is not just a phrase, but a strong commitment of our government.

In a collection of posts on social media, HM Shah stated, “This budget not only offers a comprehensive plan to empower every sector, section, and citizen but also provides a practical and ground-level vision that will foster and support progress at each stage.”

He characterized the #ViksitBharatBudget as a vision for creating an India that excels globally in all areas.

The Union Home Minister noted that from manufacturing and infrastructure to healthcare and tourism, as well as rural development and artificial intelligence, the #ViksitBharatBudget is designed to empower and realize the aspirations of youth, women, and farmers in every village, town, and city.

“This budget outlines a roadmap for achieving a Viksit Bharat by 2047 and sets forth a vision for the next 25 years, deserving heartfelt gratitude from every Indian to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman,” he remarked.

Amit Shah, who also serves as Minister of Cooperation, emphasized, “The Viksit Bharat Budget accelerates PM Modi's vision of a Future Ready Bharat, ensuring growth reaches beyond metropolitan areas with an allocation of Rs 12.2 lakh crore for capital expenditures.”

The initiative to connect Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities through new rail corridors, National Waterways, and enhanced connectivity will stimulate job growth, propelling India's ambitions to new heights, he added.

HM Shah stated, “The Viksit Bharat Budget will significantly enhance connectivity across India. The announcement of seven high-speed rail corridors aims to supercharge inter-city connectivity and reduce travel time among key economic and populous centers of our nation.”

The Union Home Minister praised the introduction of the “Mahatma Gandhi Gram Swaraj Yojana” aimed at fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Gram Swaraj.

This initiative will bolster the rural economy and offer new assistance to weavers, farmers, and the handloom sector, he noted.

Referring to the Coconut Promotion Scheme in coastal regions, he mentioned it would benefit 3 crore farmers.

He also commended the efforts to enhance cashew and cocoa production and exports, along with the decision to conserve sandalwood.

HM Shah stated, “By positioning MSMEs as key players in India's growth narrative, the Viksit Bharat Budget turns PM Modi's vision into reality through a clear three-pronged framework with a Rs 10,000 crore Growth Fund. This provision will empower MSMEs in tier 2 and tier 3 cities to achieve their objectives through structured professional guidance.”

The Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation remarked, “The Viksit Bharat Budget has made a visionary move to elevate farmers’ incomes via livestock. By increasing the number of veterinarians and expanding veterinary and training centers, the livestock economy will be fortified.”

He mentioned that initiatives such as offering credit-linked subsidies for the dairy and poultry sectors, promoting fisheries through the development of 500 ponds, and providing access to international markets will be significant milestones in the Modi government’s mission to enhance farmers’ incomes.

HM Shah declared, “The Modi government’s decision in the Viksit Bharat Budget to develop 15 archaeological sites, including Dholavira, as cultural hubs will showcase India’s ancient heritage on a global platform.”

The creation of a Buddhist Circuit in five northeastern states, development of mountain trails in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Araku Valley, along with turtle trails in Odisha, Karnataka, and Kerala, will inject fresh energy into development and promote eco-tourism in these regions, he noted.

“Furthermore, the establishment of a National Institute of Hospitality will furnish youth with skills and employment opportunities, further bolstering the tourism sector,” he remarked.

Union Home Minister Shah said, “The Viksit Bharat Budget profoundly reflects PM Modi’s vision encompassing education to self-employment. The development of five university townships around major industrial and logistics corridors will foster education-industry integration.”

“Simultaneously, the construction and enhancement of four telescope infrastructure facilities will invigorate research. The establishment of AVGC labs at the National Institute of Design, in 15,000 secondary schools and 500 colleges, along with the formation of a high-powered committee on ‘Education to Employment and Enterprise’ demonstrates our commitment to equip the new generation with skills and to construct an India that excels in every domain.”
