He reminisced about the introduction of the "one force, one border" system during former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's administration, which assigned the BSF the duty of protecting both the Punjab and Bangladesh borders.
"Since its establishment, the BSF has performed extraordinary work for the nation," stated the Union Minister.
Gajendra Shekhawat also emphasized India's strong defense mechanisms across land, sea, and air, attributing the ability of citizens to sleep peacefully to the dedicated efforts of BSF personnel.
He expressed pride in the service of the BSF troopers, referring to their contributions as a true blessing.
The Union Minister further mentioned that Home Minister Amit Shah would be visiting Jodhpur to celebrate the BSF Raising Day.

Following that, on Sunday, he is expected to participate in the Raising Day parade at the STC BSF Training Centre.
Gajendra Shekhawat pointed out that such events, which were previously held solely in Delhi, are now being conducted in various locations under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the program held in Jaisalmer two years ago and now in Jodhpur.
In response to a query regarding an article he authored about the Constitution that was shared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on X, Union Minister Shekhawat remarked: "The Constitution of India is more than just a book; it is a living document that encapsulates the sentiments, faith, principles, and essence of India."
