Noida, Jan 10 (NationPress) The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) Season 2 reached a historic milestone on the final day of the league stage, as numerous competition records were shattered during the thrilling match between Lucknow Lions and Gazab Ghaziabad at the Noida Indoor Stadium.

In a display of sheer dominance, the Lucknow Lions secured a resounding 87-36 victory, marking it as the highest-scoring match in UPKL history. The league leaders showcased relentless offensive strategies and tactical precision throughout, taking charge in both halves.

The night was further marked by an exceptional individual display from Lucknow Lions raider Shivam Chaudhary, who set a new league record by scoring 43 raid points in a single match—the highest ever recorded in UPKL. His continuous raiding efforts dismantled the Gazab Ghaziabad defense, leading to repeated multi-point raids and propelling Lucknow to a remarkable team total.

Previously, the final day of the Do-or-Die Week in UPKL Season 2 commenced with a commanding showing from Awadh Ramdoots, who triumphed over Purvanchal Panthers with a score of 47–33 at the Noida Indoor Stadium. Although both teams were already eliminated from the top-four contention, the match was about pride and finishing the league stage strongly.

The contest started tentatively as both teams evaluated each other. However, Awadh Ramdoots gradually found their rhythm, led by captain Abhimanyu Raghuvanshi, who consistently challenged the Purvanchal defense with incisive raids.
