Vadodara, March 6 (NationPress) A new digital platform has been introduced in Vadodara, Gujarat, allowing residents to conveniently access services from their local Member of Parliament's (MP) office via mobile devices. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance e-governance and streamline communication between citizens and their elected representatives.

The official launch of the "MP Office E-Portal" took place at the Atal Sansad Janseva Kendra, officiated by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.

Proposed by Hemang Joshi, the BJP MP from Vadodara, this platform aims to facilitate digital governance.

Officials noted that the portal is designed to empower citizens to access a range of services and information pertaining to the MP's office directly from their mobile devices, minimizing the need for in-person visits to government offices for routine matters.

Through this portal, residents can schedule appointments with the MP, check upcoming programs and events, and gather details about development initiatives under the MP Local Area Development Scheme (MP-LADS).

Additionally, the portal offers insights into welfare schemes administered by both the Central and state governments.

Citizens can also submit suggestions and representations to the MP's office from the comfort of their homes, an effort aimed at saving both time and travel expenses.

Authorities mentioned that even when the MP is engaged in Lok Sabha sessions in New Delhi, representations submitted via the portal will be addressed through email or phone communication.

The portal is currently available in English, with plans to expand its accessibility to Gujarati and Hindi shortly.

In a separate public gathering in Vadodara, Deputy Chief Minister Sanghavi emphasized the significance of community involvement and social responsibility while speaking to a large audience during a religious ceremony at the historic Shri Rameshwar Mahadev Temple in the Navayard area.

This ceremony celebrated the consecration of idols of Khatu Shyam, Sanwariya Seth, and Bharat Mata, adhering to traditional rituals.

Describing the temple as a "historic and deeply revered center of faith in Vadodara," Sanghavi noted that the self-manifested Shivling has been worshipped by locals for generations, even predating the arrival of the railway.

While discussing the temple's renovation, he stated: "The project was funded through monthly donations from families in the nearby colony, with each household contributing regularly to realize the construction of this magnificent temple."

He also addressed women's safety issues, calling for society to support victims rather than blame them.

"If any innocent daughter of society unknowingly becomes a victim of malicious individuals, society should extend sympathy and provide emotional and social support instead of passing judgment," he asserted.

Encouraging women to take a more active role in safeguarding young girls, Deputy Chief Minister Sanghavi urged mothers and sisters to emulate "Rani Lakshmibai" in defending their daughters.

He further warned that the state government would impose strict penalties on those concealing their identities or using false names to mislead or manipulate women into relationships or marriage.

"The government led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is committed to implementing stringent legal measures against such offenses and is actively working to strengthen legal provisions against these crimes," he cautioned.

Highlighting recent police efforts, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that authorities in districts such as Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, Vadodara, and Surat have successfully rescued numerous young women from precarious situations over the past year and reunited them with their families.

He also mentioned, "Should the temple trust present a development proposal for future enhancements to the Rameshwar Mahadev Temple, financial aid of up to Rs 25 lakh could be allocated through the state government's Pavitra Yatradham Development Board."
