New Delhi, March 15 (NationPress) The current Olympic bronze medalist Aman Sehrawat was unable to qualify for the team, while world championship medalists Antim Panghal and Deepak Punia secured their places in the lineup for the 2025 Senior Asian Wrestling Championship, set to take place in Amman, Jordan later this month.

While both Antim and Deepak successfully passed the selection trials held on Saturday, Sehrawat, who earned a bronze in the men's 57 kg freestyle division, was unable to compete due to an injury, as reported by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).

The WFI conducted the selection trials at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi, finalizing the Indian team for the upcoming championship scheduled for March 25 to 30.

The trials were managed by the WFI Selection Committee, which included WFI President Sanjay Kumar Singh, Vice President Jai Prakash, Olympian S.P. Deshwal, and Olympic Medallist Yogeshwar Dutt. The WFI invited top wrestlers from all over the nation to ensure a competitive and transparent selection process.

The WFI congratulated all chosen wrestlers and wished them luck in the championship.
