Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Jan 10 (NationPress) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized on Saturday that the youth play a pivotal role in propelling the nation towards Viksit Bharat. Speaking at the Viksit Bharat Youth Leaders Dialogue, he encouraged the young generation to adopt multidisciplinary learning to keep pace with the swift technological advancements, particularly in sectors like artificial intelligence, quantum computing, biotechnology, and space research.
“The learning journey is perpetual. You should acquire knowledge from contemporary practices, your own errors, and crucially, from others' experiences. Aspire for greatness, but ensure it remains a source of inspiration, not a burden,” he remarked.
The Defence Minister engaged with 78 passionate youth representatives from Uttar Pradesh during the gathering in Delhi Cantonment.
This group from UP is among the participants of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in New Delhi from January 10-12.
Praising the Youth Leaders for their accomplishments across various domains, Rajnath Singh expressed confidence that their vigor, aspirations, and innovative potential are steering the nation toward the vision of Viksit Bharat.
He characterized challenges as an inherent aspect of life, stating that difficult times unveil a person's true essence and character.
“It’s simple to stay calm when everything is progressing smoothly. However, criticism and setbacks are what truly test a person’s resilience, shaping their future path. Confronting challenges with courage, wisdom, and self-assurance is vital,” he stated.
The Defence Minister urged the youth to perceive challenges not as burdens, but as opportunities that recognize and cultivate one's abilities while fortifying character.
Present at the interaction were Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P.
