Young participants are actively shaping policy discussions and contributing to India's vision for the future.
Ayushi Arya, hailing from Patna, Bihar, and a dedicated MyBharat Volunteer, took part in the Dialogue as a Presenter, where she articulated her thoughts on Women-led Development in front of Prime Minister Modi.
In an interview with IANS, Ayushi characterized the experience as profoundly inspiring and expressed her pride in representing the aspirations of India’s youth on such an esteemed platform.
She noted that the response from the Prime Minister and senior officials was exceptionally motivating, affirming the notion that the government is genuinely attentive to the voices of young Indians.
Ayushi mentioned that Prime Minister Modi referred to the youth as a “think tank”—a generation that thinks independently and brings innovative ideas to the forefront.
She found it particularly uplifting to see Gen Z, often labeled as unserious, recognized for its creativity, innovation, and progressive outlook.
According to her, the Dialogue marks a pivotal change, where youth are no longer mere participants in discussions but are now integral to policy formulation.
“This is possibly the first time that the voice of youth has been visibly integrated into governance at such a significant level,” she remarked, describing it as a historic and motivating moment for young Indians nationwide.
Commenting on the Union Budget, Ayushi expressed pride when the Finance Minister referenced the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue in Parliament, describing the Budget as youth-centric.
She highlighted how the ideas shared by young leaders are now being reflected in policymaking and budgetary decisions.
On the government's focus concerning the Orange Economy, Ayushi remarked that concentrating on content, culture, and digital creators is timely and forward-thinking.
She emphasized that Gen Z plays an essential role in the digital ecosystem, and acknowledging digital creators and cultural industries is pivotal for India's economic growth.
Discussing initiatives related to Digital India, drones, defense, and advanced technologies, Ayushi stated that these actions would enhance India’s global competitiveness.
She further added that innovation in areas like drone technology and defense would not only boost self-reliance but also position India as a leader among other nations.
Ayushi concluded by stating that with the government placing considerable trust in youth and women-led development, India’s future relies significantly on young innovators.
“Youth power is one of the strongest pillars of Viksit Bharat 2047, and with the right opportunities, India can achieve significant milestones well before that,” she asserted.
Encouraging young people, Ayushi urged them to shift their focus from job-seeking to job creation.
She motivated young Indians to believe in their potential, explore technology, innovation, and start-ups, and actively contribute to India’s growth story.
“With confidence, creativity, and government support, India’s youth can transform the nation and elevate India to one of the most powerful countries globally,” she added.
