Currently preparing for the UPSC examination, Sakshi also dedicates her time as a social worker with an NGO, providing a platform for specially-abled children to exhibit their talents.
In an interview with IANS, she described her interaction with Prime Minister Modi as highly enriching, noting that the platform allowed young voices to elevate their ideas from the local to the national level.
She emphasized that the Prime Minister not only listened intently but also offered insightful feedback, especially regarding Mission LiFE, which further refined her proposals.
Preeti Kalra, a resident of Sonipat, Haryana, and a third-year student of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University, represented her state at this national forum.
A volunteer with My Bharat, Preeti presented concepts aimed at establishing India as the Start-Up Capital of the World. She described her experience of presenting to the Prime Minister as unforgettable, stating that PM Modi encouraged young innovators to further develop their ideas, write blogs, and engage with relevant ministries.
Preeti remarked that the inclusion of youth ideas in the Union Budget signifies that youth engagement in governance is now substantial and impactful.
Mayank Raj from Ranchi, Jharkhand, echoed similar sentiments, expressing immense pride in directly interacting with the Prime Minister and Cabinet ministers. He stated that the positive feedback from the leadership reaffirmed the belief that youth power is crucial for a developed India.
He noted that the budget's emphasis on Digital India, drones, space exploration, defense startups, and the Orange Economy opens new avenues for creators and Generation Z, paving the way for India's progress towards 2047.
Kirti Shukla, the only representative from Kanpur at the Dialogue, regarded the inclusion of her suggestions in the Union Budget as a significant accomplishment. She felt that for the first time, the voices of young Indians were genuinely acknowledged and translated into national policy.
Describing the initiative as a vital connection between youth and nation-building, she expressed pride in her achievement for Kanpur and the entire state of Uttar Pradesh.
Raunak Chaudhary from Greater Noida also shared his unforgettable experience interacting with Union Cabinet ministers, who welcomed young individuals with confidence, presenting their ideas for a developed India.
Raunak emphasized that the Dialogue exemplified the government's attentiveness to the aspirations and commitments of the youth, who are essential for realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The Dialogue witnessed massive engagement, with over 15 lakh youths registering nationwide, around 3,000 selected to participate, and a select group presenting directly to the Prime Minister.
Participants unanimously agreed that this initiative signifies a transformation where India's future is increasingly shaped by the ideas, creativity, and energy of its youth.
