New Delhi, Aug 11 (NationPress) Aadhaar-based face authentication has achieved a remarkable milestone, soaring from 100 crore to 200 crore transactions in a mere six months, as reported by the government on Monday.
This innovative Aadhaar Face Authentication system enables users to verify their identity instantly, securely, and without physical documents, anytime and anywhere.
On August 10, 2025, the UIDAI celebrated the significant achievement of 200 crore transactions through Face Authentication, highlighting India's swift transition towards a seamless, secure, and paperless authentication process, according to the Ministry of Information Technology.
The acceleration of adoption has been phenomenal. By mid-2024, there were 50 crore transactions recorded. This number then escalated to 100 crore transactions by January 2025, doubling in approximately five months. Less than six months later, this figure reached the remarkable 200 crore milestone, as noted by the ministry.
“Achieving 200 crore Aadhaar Face Authentication transactions in such a brief period emphasizes the trust that both citizens and service providers place in Aadhaar's secure, inclusive, and innovative authentication framework,” stated Bhuvnesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UIDAI.
