New Delhi, April 28 (NationPress) In 2024-25, holders of Aadhaar numbers executed over 2,707 crore authentication transactions, with a remarkable 247 crore transactions occurring in March alone. This surge reflects the increasing acceptance and utility of Aadhaar, as reported by the Ministry of Electronics and IT on Monday.

Aadhaar has significantly contributed to the digital economy, demonstrating its expanding significance in various sectors such as banking, finance, and telecommunications, as well as facilitating the efficient delivery of benefits under numerous government schemes and services.

The authentication transactions for March 2025 (246.75 crore) exceeded those from the same time last year and also surpassed February 2025's figures. Cumulatively, since its inception, the total number of authentication transactions has exceeded 14,800 crore, according to the statement.

The AI/ML-driven Aadhaar Face Authentication solution, developed internally by UIDAI, has shown notable growth.

In March, more than 15 crore face authentication transactions were completed, highlighting the increasing adoption and effectiveness of this modality in benefiting Aadhaar holders effortlessly.
