New Delhi, May 16 (NationPress) In a remarkable achievement, the total number of Aadhaar authentication transactions has exceeded 150 billion (15,011.82 crore), as announced by the government on Friday.
Additionally, the total number of eKYC transactions (37.3 crore) conducted in April represents a significant increase of 39.7% compared to the same month last year.
As of April 30, the cumulative figure for e-KYC transactions has surpassed 2,393 crore, according to the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
This marks a groundbreaking milestone in the journey of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and the broader Aadhaar ecosystem, as stated by the ministry.
Aadhaar-based authentication has been crucial in facilitating ease of living, effective welfare delivery, and the voluntary access to various services provided by service providers.
In April alone, approximately 210 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions were executed, reflecting an 8% increase compared to the same month in 2024, as reported by the ministry.
The Aadhaar e-KYC service continues to enhance customer experience and streamline business operations across sectors such as banking and non-banking financial services.
The in-house developed Artificial Intelligence-Machine Learning based Aadhaar face authentication solutions by UIDAI have seen consistent traction.
