New Delhi, Dec 25 (NationPress) Amazon Web Services (AWS) has firmly rejected claims of a service outage, asserting that its systems are functioning as expected and urging users to consult the official AWS Health Dashboard for precise updates.
Earlier today, numerous users across the US and India reported difficulties in accessing services linked to AWS, as indicated by outage-monitoring platform Downdetector.
This surge of complaints sparked a wave of speculation on social media regarding a potential disruption in AWS services.
In response to these assertions, AWS clarified in a statement on X that the reports were unfounded. The company explained that while its services are running smoothly, a separate issue on the internet led to misleading speculation.
"No, that's incorrect. AWS services are operating normally today, but an event elsewhere on the internet has prompted some inaccurate speculation on social media," it stated.
AWS emphasized that the only dependable source for checking the status of its services is the AWS Health Dashboard.
"The only resource on the internet that provides accurate data on the availability of our services is the #AWS Health Dashboard https://go.aws/4jb7PAh," they mentioned.
Data from Downdetector illustrated that reports of issues peaked around 7 am IST, with over 4,300 users in the US encountering problems.
In India, although the number of complaints was significantly lower at around 25 to 30, users in cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi reported experiencing disruptions.
Due to these reported issues, several users in the US stated they were unable to access gaming platforms, including popular titles from Epic Games.
Games such as Fortnite, Rocket League, and ARC Raiders were among those cited as affected, according to user feedback.
Disruptions in cloud services often impact multiple platforms simultaneously, as many digital services depend on shared infrastructure.
Such incidents have become increasingly frequent in recent months, raising persistent concerns among users whenever major platforms encounter technical difficulties.
