New Delhi, March 22 (NationPress) The ambitious vision of India to evolve into a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047 is set to not only revolutionize the nation but also yield positive outcomes for the entire world, stated Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

According to the renowned philanthropist, maintaining the trajectory of the 2047 initiative will be advantageous not just for India, but for the global community as well.

Gates commended India’s digital public infrastructure (DPI), which includes Aadhaar and UPI, regarding it as one of the country's notable contributions to the international arena.

During a media gathering in the national capital, he remarked that emphasizing crucial sectors such as healthcare and education in India has fostered a remarkably positive environment.

Gates highlighted that economic growth will facilitate increased government funding in healthcare and education, leading to substantial opportunities.

On the subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gates expressed that AI could help us achieve adequate food and medical care “without necessitating the same level of human labor as we do currently.”

In a prior meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gates noted that their discussions centered around India’s developmental aspirations, particularly the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ initiative—aimed at establishing India as a developed nation by its centenary of Independence.

The dialogue between Modi and Gates underscored the transformative potential of AI and digital infrastructure in sectors such as healthcare, education, and agriculture.

“As always, a fruitful meeting with Bill Gates. We discussed various topics, including technology, innovation, and sustainability, towards creating a brighter future for the next generations,” PM Modi remarked in a post on X.

Meanwhile, the India AI Mission and the Gates Foundation are expected to partner on multiple initiatives aimed at harnessing technology to enhance public services and develop sustainable solutions. Gates also engaged with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to identify new agricultural development opportunities.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that Microsoft and the Gates Foundation would support efforts to establish Maharashtra as a model state in digital governance and the right to service.
