Ahmedabad, December 3 (NationPress) The city of Gandhinagar celebrated the grand opening of Asia's largest engineering exhibition, ENGIMACH-2025, with Deputy Chief Minister and Industries Minister Harsh Sanghavi officiating the three-day event at the Helipad Exhibition Centre this Wednesday.

This monumental expo, running from December 3 to 7, marks its 17th edition this year.

The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that this exhibition is recognized as one of the globe's most significant platforms for engineering and machinery, attracting over 1,100 companies from India and around the world.

While more than 50,000 visitors had pre-registered, the organizers anticipate attendance exceeding 100,000 over the next three days, with delegations from multiple nations and over 500 international representatives.

As per the Deputy CM, this exhibition is poised to generate business worth crores of rupees for companies in the engineering and manufacturing sectors in Gujarat and throughout India.

In addition to corporate transactions, the event is set to invigorate the local economy, offering benefits to hotels, transport services, vendors, and small traders in Ahmedabad and adjacent districts, thus fostering employment opportunities.

Sanghavi noted that the groundwork for such global-scale events was laid by then Chief Minister and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who established a world-class exhibition ecosystem alongside the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

Consequently, the Helipad Ground hosts between 80 to 100 national and international exhibitions annually, greatly benefiting local businesses.

He further mentioned plans to enhance the venue into a globally recognized exhibition centre.

During his tour, Sanghavi explored various stalls showcasing cutting-edge AI-driven and robotics-enabled machinery, engaging with company owners about advancing technologies.

He encouraged industry leaders to align with national initiatives like Make in India, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and the Swadeshi movement to fortify India’s self-sufficiency in engineering, machinery, and manufacturing.

Spread over one lakh square metres, ENGIMACH 2025 showcases more than 10,000 products. The event will also feature an International Buyer-Seller Meet to facilitate cross-border trade collaborations.

The inauguration saw attendance from Gandhinagar North MLA Ritaben Patel, former Manasa MLA Amit Choudhary, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) S.J. Haider, prominent industrialists, exhibitors, and thousands of visitors.
