Indian Corporations Set to Increase Hiring in 2025, Focusing on AI and Data Analytics: Study

New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) Indian enterprises are anticipated to expand their workforce by a minimum of 10 percent in 2025 compared to 2024, with the majority of these positions emerging in fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics, according to a recent report.

The report from CIEL HR, a staffing solutions provider, indicates that Indian corporations are optimistic about recruitment in 2025. The hiring levels across these firms could surpass those of 2024.

Additionally, in the coming year, organizations are expected to emphasize employee skill development.

The report highlights that new job opportunities will stem from sectors such as semiconductors, startups, cybersecurity, renewable energy, AI, and Global Capability Centers (GCC).

Previously, a report by Foundit (formerly Monster) projected that "India is anticipated to witness a 9 percent increase in hiring in 2025."

Emerging technological trends and shifting business priorities are expected to further influence India’s employment landscape in 2025. Innovations in areas like edge computing, quantum applications, and cybersecurity are poised to revolutionize sectors such as Manufacturing, Healthcare, and IT, according to the report.

The IT sector is predicted to drive a 15 percent increase in hiring in 2025, fueled by the growth of GCCs and the adoption of multi-cloud strategies. Companies are focusing on operational flexibility and sustainability via energy-efficient data centers, green IT practices, and refurbished hardware solutions.

The retail sector is forecasted to see a 12 percent rise in hiring, reflecting increased demand for both traditional and tech-savvy roles. This growth is driven by the revival of experiential brick-and-mortar stores and enhanced consumer spending in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

Moreover, the telecom sector is expected to experience an 11 percent increase in hiring, spurred by advancements in AI, 5G, and the Internet of Things (IoT), with a strong demand for skills in edge computing, software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), and cybersecurity.
