New Delhi, Jan 16 (NationPress) Maruti Suzuki India Limited has officially launched the export of its high-end SUV VICTORIS, with aspirations to reach over 100 countries and regions. The company has reported that more than 450 vehicles have departed from the Mundra and Pipavav ports destined for international markets.
As per Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India, “Our export strategy aligns with the vision of Make in India, Make for the World. In 2025, we achieved a remarkable milestone with exports exceeding 3.9 lakh vehicles, securing our position as India’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year.”
The year also marked a significant return to Europe with the introduction of our first Battery Electric Vehicle, the e VITARA.
The VICTORIS is designed to offer a blend of advanced technology, luxurious comfort, and cutting-edge design.
This SUV has proven its global safety standards by attaining a 5-star safety rating in both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP.
Interestingly, this Made-in-India SUV was also presented to a worldwide audience at the Japan Mobility Show 2025.
Takeuchi noted that from CY2020 to CY2025, while the overall industry witnessed a growth of 1.43 times in passenger vehicle exports, Maruti Suzuki's exports surged by 4.67 times.
“The launch of VICTORIS will bolster our export ambitions, and we are optimistic about its reception in the global market,” he stated.
In 2025, Maruti Suzuki India recorded an impressive output of over 22.55 lakh vehicles, marking its highest production in a calendar year. This is the second consecutive year that the company has surpassed 20 lakh units in annual output, which includes vehicles for domestic sales, exports, and OEM supplies.
The top five models produced during this period were Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and Ertiga.
Since its inception in 1983 with its first manufacturing unit in Gurugram, Haryana, on the outskirts of Delhi, Maruti Suzuki has expanded significantly, supported by a strong multi-tier supplier and dealer network.
