New Delhi, July 1 (NationPress) - Maruti Suzuki India has achieved a historic milestone in June by exporting 37,842 units, marking its highest monthly export figures ever and showcasing its expanding global footprint.
In total, Maruti Suzuki India sold 167,993 units in June, which comprises 118,906 domestic passenger vehicles—a decline from 137,160 units sold in June 2024.
When including sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), the total domestic sales reached 130,151 units, down from 148,195 units the previous year.
Despite this year-on-year decrease in the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki's cumulative exports from April to June in FY26 surged to 96,972 units, a significant rise from 70,560 units during the same timeframe last year.
Within specific segments, the mini and compact category, which features models such as Alto, S-Presso, Swift, WagonR, and Baleno, achieved sales of 60,591 units in June.
Utility vehicles, including Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, and Grand Vitara, contributed 47,947 units to domestic sales.
In the meantime, Kia India has also reported robust growth in the first half of 2025, with 142,139 vehicles dispatched, reflecting a 12.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
The newly launched Carens Clavis has garnered positive reviews for its comfort, features, and safety.
Kia India’s export figures remained impressive, with 11,813 vehicles shipped worldwide in the first half of 2025.
The company is set to unveil its first Made-in-India electric vehicle this month, reinforcing its commitment to the dynamic mobility landscape in India.
“With the launch of our first Made-in-India EV this month, we are diversifying our product lineup, solidifying our long-term commitment to the changing preferences of Indian consumers,” stated Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India.
“We believe this launch will enhance our footprint in the nation’s rapidly evolving mobility sector,” Cho added.
He expressed optimism about maintaining a healthy growth trajectory in the latter half of the year.
