New Delhi, Feb 23 (NationPress) On Monday, Union Ministers commended the Central Government’s initiative to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) within India’s educational framework, emphasizing a comprehensive vision for reforms influenced by Indian philosophy and national interests. In a press interaction in the capital, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan remarked that the Indian education landscape is increasingly adopting AI across various sectors.
He highlighted the development of a teachers’ application, created in partnership with the Bharti Airtel Foundation, which was launched in November 2024.
"Currently, the education system in India is progressively embracing AI in diverse aspects," Pradhan noted.
“In collaboration with the Bharti Airtel Foundation, we have launched a new version of the teachers’ app in November 2024," he further stated.
He added that this app has been upgraded with contributions from the CK-12 Foundation, enhancing digital educational resources for educators.
“These initiatives align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to modernize education while preserving Indian values at its core,” Pradhan said.
He also referred to a recent event at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where the Prime Minister advocated for the decolonization of India by 2035.
As the Education Minister, he affirmed his commitment to executing the National Education Policy in alignment with the Prime Minister’s aspirations, ensuring that the education system reflects India's unique heritage and identity.
Moreover, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal informed IANS that the Prime Minister consistently prioritizes national security in his addresses, whether in Parliament, during Mann Ki Baat, or at public gatherings.
“This illustrates the government's dedication to maintaining the nation's safety and security,” he mentioned to IANS.
Meghwal also discussed a seminar that delved into the philosophy of Ekatma Manav Darshan, as proposed by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, and its significance in today’s AI-centric society.
He remarked that the discussion centered on how Indian philosophical perspectives can guide the ethical and balanced implementation of contemporary technologies like Artificial Intelligence.
