Chandigarh, Feb 1 (NationPress) BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar stated on Sunday that the Union Budget is directed towards the underprivileged, laborers, farmers, women, youth, and backward classes, and is poised to be a significant step towards realizing India's ambition of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
In his response to the Budget, Jakhar remarked, "It embodies Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas."
He highlighted that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made it clear that every community is considered, emphasizing the creation of new job opportunities and enhancing infrastructure development across the nation.
Jakhar noted that the significant funding allocated for infrastructure illustrates that the Union government is consistently advancing towards establishing a developed nation.
He mentioned that the Budget presents the SHE-Mart scheme aimed at women and announces the establishment of hostels in every district for working women and female students, which will contribute significantly to women's empowerment.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the provisions made in the Budget for the Sports Industry and MSMEs are expected to greatly support Punjab's industrial landscape.
Jakhar also emphasized that under the framework of cooperative federalism, an allocation of Rs 1.4 lakh crore has been earmarked for state development as per the recommendations of the 16th Finance Commission, which will ensure comprehensive progress nationwide.
Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the allocation of Rs 10,000 crore for the MSME sector in the Budget will be advantageous for the state.
He also mentioned that the development of 15 archaeological sites will elevate Haryana's historical heritage sites, such as Rakhigarhi, on a global scale.
"Investment in AI and Quantum Mission will further solidify Gurugram's status as a global tech hub," the Chief Minister concluded.
