New Delhi, March 15 (NationPress) - On Sunday, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. The minister unveiled the Samriddhi Kendra at Umri village, located in the Guna district, as part of the Samriddh Gram Phygital Services Pilot Initiative launched by the Department of Telecommunications.

This initiative leverages the high-speed broadband connectivity established under BharatNet, transforming digital infrastructure into a robust platform for delivering citizen-centric services across rural India.

The Samriddhi Kendra serves as a comprehensive service hub, allowing villagers to access a range of facilities, including healthcare, education, skill development, agricultural assistance, financial services, and e-governance support—all in one location.

During the launch, Scindia emphasized the goal of this initiative to integrate technology with essential public services, thereby opening new opportunities directly in villages.

“Farmers will gain real-time insights into soil moisture, nutrient levels, and crop health through innovative digital tools, making agriculture more efficient and productive,” he stated.

“Vital government services, from certificates to e-banking, will now be readily available within Samriddh Gram. This truly represents a forward-thinking programme, ensuring progress reaches every village and every citizen,” explained Scindia.

The minister further noted that healthcare services would become more efficient and accessible, with offerings such as on-site diagnostics and teleconsultations with doctors from major cities including Delhi and beyond.

“Blood test results will be available in under 30 minutes,” the Union Minister highlighted.

Moreover, the Samriddhi Kendra allows villagers to access crucial government services like certificates, digital documentation, and e-banking facilities locally.

“This initiative marks a pivotal phase in India’s digital transformation, focusing not just on connectivity, but on enhancing the quality of life in rural areas,” Scindia concluded.
