New Delhi, Dec 18 (NationPress) As part of the Regional Connectivity Scheme-Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (RCS-UDAN), a total of 651 RCS routes have been launched, linking 93 unserved and underserved airports, which include 15 heliports and 2 water aerodromes (as of November 30), as reported in Parliament on Thursday.
The Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu stated in a written response to a Lok Sabha inquiry that Uttar Pradesh has seen the operation of 87 routes connecting 12 airports.
Additionally, the government is set to initiate a revised UDAN Scheme aimed at enhancing regional connectivity to 120 new destinations nationwide, including Uttar Pradesh, targeting 4 crore passengers over the next decade.
