Mumbai, Sep 24 (NationPress) Recent buzz suggests that Aamir Khan, known as Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist, might be developing a film inspired by Dadasaheb Phalke, the pioneer of Indian cinema.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Chandrashekhar Pusalkar, the grandson of Dadasaheb Phalke, addressed the validity of these rumors.

When questioned about Aamir Khan's alleged project based on his grandfather's life, Pusalkar stated that he consulted with Aamir's team, who confirmed that the speculation regarding script modifications was false.

“The script is finalized, and the project will commence shortly. Rajkumar Hirani has also expressed interest. I believe if such a film is produced, it will be a source of inspiration and will provide a deeper understanding of my grandfather's contributions,” he elaborated.

Aamir is rumored to be collaborating with director Rajkumar Hirani for this highly awaited biopic.

Pusalkar shared his sentiments about being the grandson of a legendary personality, expressing his gratitude for being part of such a remarkable lineage.

“Growing up, I learned that my grandfather was unique. His name frequently appeared in newspapers, and my mother would proudly showcase it to everyone in our modest home, saying, 'Look at how great your grandfather is.' Although I never had the chance to meet him—he passed away in 1944, long before my birth in 1951—my mother often recounted stories about him. Sometimes, she would laugh, and other times, she would cry, but she always kept his memory alive for me.”

“She was strict about discipline and often admonished me, saying, 'You should have belonged to your grandfather’s kingdom.' At times, I felt frustrated, questioning who this grandfather was that I was always being compared to. However, as I matured and learned more about him, I grew appreciative of her teachings,” he concluded.
