Did Abhijeet Sawant Find Divine Inspiration at Kashi Vishwanath Temple?

Mumbai, May 26 (NationPress) Singer Abhijeet Sawant visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple seeking divine blessings and expressed that even though his trip was work-related, discovering Kashi proved to be an enchanting journey.

Reflecting on his experience, Abhijeet remarked, "It’s as if we stumble upon a destination by chance, and Kashi is one such location that offers us pure joy."

“Although my primary purpose here was work, wandering through Kashi has been a delightful experience. The streets and ghats are simply mesmerizing,” he noted.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a significant shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated in Vishwanath Gali in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. This temple is a major Hindu pilgrimage site and ranks among the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines. The deity worshipped here is referred to as Vishwanath and Vishweshwara, signifying the Lord of the Universe.

Abhijeet, who rose to fame as the winner of the inaugural season of Indian Idol in 2004, is poised to release his latest Marathi song titled “Chal Turu Turu”.

He previously shared with IANS that this song serves as a tribute to Marathi culture.

“Marathi music carries a rich legacy, and I have always aspired to contribute to it meaningfully. Chal Turu Turu is my modest homage to that heritage — reinterpreted for modern audiences while preserving its core essence,” Abhijeet stated to IANS.

Celebrating two decades in the music industry, this song release signifies a major milestone for Abhijeet.

“This year marks 20 years since I triumphed in Indian Idol and embarked on this extraordinary journey in the music realm. It has been a rollercoaster filled with emotions, growth, and appreciation,” he expressed.

As a proud Maharashtrian, he has always wished to enhance the Marathi music landscape. In 2013, he achieved a significant breakthrough with the hit song Sar Sukhachi Shravani, which opened new avenues for him in the Marathi music scene.

Following his remarkable stint in Indian Idol Season 1, Abhijeet released his debut solo album, Aapka Abhijeet Sawant, in 2005. That same year, he lent his voice to playback singing in the film Aashiq Banaya Aapne, performing the song Mar Jaawan Mit Jaawan.

His sophomore album, Junoon, launched in 2007, followed by his third studio album, Farida, in 2013.

Abhijeet made his acting debut with the film Lottery in 2009 and also had a cameo in Tees Maar Khan. He appeared as himself in the romantic drama series Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai and in the thriller series C.I.D.
