Mumbai, Oct 12 (NationPress) Akshay Kumar has an important piece of advice for all the aspiring talents entering Bollywood: never agree to a three-film contract with any producer.
During the 70th Filmfare Awards, host Shah Rukh Khan prompted Akshay to share some wisdom with the newcomers who admire him.
In response, Akshay stated, "I want to emphasize one thing for all the newcomers and those on the horizon: avoid signing a three-film deal with any producer."
The 'Hera Pheri' star encouraged everyone to watch Aryan Khan's directorial debut, 'The Ba*ds of Bollywood', to gain insight into his viewpoint.
He added, "You must have seen 'The Ba*ds of Bollywood' and the struggles faced by our protagonist. The film illustrates what a newcomer should and shouldn't do."
Addressing co-host Karan Johar, Akshay remarked, "Do not enter into a three-film deal. Grant your debutants freedom; let them explore. As the saying goes, 'if they are meant for you, they will return.'" This comment elicited laughter from both King Khan and KJo.
For those who have yet to see 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', the movie follows Aasmaan Singh (played by Lakshya), an ambitious newcomer with dreams of success in Bollywood, and the challenges he faces on his journey.
The 'Bhul Bhulaiyaa' actor also shared his philosophy regarding film selection.
He explained, "I always say that money attracts money, and similarly, work attracts money. No role is too small or too big. Sometimes I may love a film's storyline, even if my role is minor, yet I choose to participate because I recognize the film's potential and want to be part of its legacy."
He further emphasized the significance of maintaining discipline. "If you can master that, you'll be able to thrive in this industry for a long time," stated Akshay.
