Mumbai, Oct 21 (NationPress) Football icon David Beckham reminisced about a memorable Diwali celebration in India a few years back, sharing the joyous occasion with Bollywood style icon Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja.

Beckham took to his Instagram stories to share a delightful post, later re-shared by the actress. In the captured moment, Sonam and Beckham are seen together during the Diwali festivities. The football star held a platter brimming with Indian delicacies, which included roti, sabzi, and an array of sweets.

The post was embellished with the caption: “Loved celebrating Diwali with great company (& great food!) in India a few years ago @sonamkapoor @anandahuja.”

In 2023, Beckham's visit to India saw Sonam playing the quintessential host, where she and Anand organized a lavish welcome for the former English football player at their home in Mumbai.

In related news, on Monday, Sonam offered a glimpse into her family's private Dhanteras celebration.

Accompanying a video montage, she wrote, “Our hearts (and home) are glowing a little brighter this Diwali. From our little family to yours — wishing you love, laughter & light. Anand, Sonam & Vayu.”

In the footage, Sonam dazzles in a richly embroidered maroon and red outfit, complemented by traditional silver jewelry. She exudes elegance as she engages in rituals alongside her husband, Anand, who donned an ivory kurta-pyjama.

Their son, Vayu, dressed in a white embroidered kurta, adds an adorable touch to the family scene as he sits close to his parents during the puja.

Sonam and Anand tied the knot in May 2018 after a courtship lasting nearly four years. They welcomed their first child, Vaayu Kapoor Ahuja, in August 2022.

Sonam has appeared in acclaimed films such as “Neerja”, “Ranjanaa”, “Veere Di Wedding”, and “Delhi 6”. However, she opted for a break from Bollywood post the birth of her son to focus on family life.

Her most recent appearance was in the film Blind in 2023, a crime thriller directed by Shome Makhija, featuring co-stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey. Blind, a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name, follows a blind police officer on the hunt for a serial killer.

Looking ahead, Sonam is set to star in “Battle of Bittora.” This film, based on Anuja Chauhan's 2010 novel, narrates the love story of two rising politicians who find themselves in a love conflict while contesting against each other in elections. The drama will be produced under the banner of Anil Kapoor Film, in collaboration with Communication Network.
