Mumbai, Feb 16 (NationPress) Legendary actress Chittajallu Krishnaveni, renowned for her contributions to Telugu cinema, has sadly passed away at the remarkable age of 100 due to complications related to aging.
The esteemed actress took her last breath at her home on Sunday. Krishnaveni is celebrated for her diverse roles and unwavering commitment to the Telugu film industry. She played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of Telugu cinema, featuring in numerous iconic films that are still cherished by movie lovers and introducing talents like NTR and Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao.
She was instrumental in casting Akkineni Nageswara Rao in Keelugurram and was a producer of many Telugu films. Additionally, she directed the Kannada film Bhakta Kumbhara featuring Rajkumar.

Krishnaveni made history by being the first to lend her voice to Jo Achyutananda Jojo Mukunda, marking the inaugural performance of an Annamayya Keerthana on the Telugu silver screen.
