Kolkata, Feb 19 (NationPress) Event organiser Tanay Shastri, who is embroiled in a harassment case, has initiated a defamation lawsuit against Bengali actress and former Trinamool Congress MP Mimi Chakraborty.
On Thursday, Shastri revealed that a legal notice has been dispatched to Chakraborty, demanding a payment of Rs 20 lakh as compensation or face legal consequences.
Chakraborty has yet to make any official comment regarding the situation.
Shastri stated to local reporters, "Mimi Chakraborty was compensated Rs 2 lakh 65 thousand to participate in our event. I am requesting her to return the funds as she failed to arrive on time.
