Chennai, Jan 17 (NationPress) The producers of actor and director Dhanush's much-anticipated romantic film Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) have officially announced a shift in the release date to February 21 this year.

Sreyas, director at Wunderbar Films, shared in a statement posted on the production house's X timeline, "In light of recent circumstances, we have decided to move NEEK's release to 21st February 2025. Our heartfelt thanks for the unwavering support. Om Namah Shivaya."

This film boasts a talented cast including Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Matthew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan, and was initially set to premiere on February 7.

While the producers did not elaborate on the specific reasons for the delay, there is speculation that the decision by the team behind Vidaa Muyarchi, featuring Ajith Kumar, to release on February 7 may have influenced NEEK's new date.

Directed by Dhanush himself, NEEK is produced by his parents, Kasthoori Raja and Vijayalakshmi Kasthoori Raja, under the Wunderbar Films banner. The musical score is composed by G V Prakash Kumar, with cinematography handled by Leon Britto and editing by G K Prasanna.

Notably, Priya Prakash Warrier will be making her Tamil debut with this film.

Dhanush is also set to make a special appearance in one of the film's songs, alongside Priyanka Arul Mohan, who will feature in the track titled Golden Sparrow. This song has already become a hit, amassing an impressive 133 million views on YouTube.
