Chennai, March 19 (NationPress) Actor S J Suryah, who portrays the antagonist in the much-anticipated action film Veera Dheera Sooran, has revealed that its director, S U Arun Kumar, is a devoted admirer of Martin Scorsese. This influence will be apparent in the film's storytelling approach.
During a recent interview with the film’s cast prior to its release on March 27, S J Suryah stated, “S U Arun Kumar is a fan of Martin Scorsese, and this will be clear in how he narrates the story. He emphasizes that every aspect of the narrative should feel natural and realistic. This was a significant lesson for me from the project.”
In his remarks, Arun Kumar shared that he did not feel pressured by the presence of major stars in the film. “For Veera Dheera Sooran, I felt fortunate to collaborate with such talented individuals. The environment was very collaborative. I simply needed to communicate my vision. I typically avoid acting; instead, I prefer to draw out performances from the actors,” he explained.
“Regardless of the actor, they would often inquire, ‘Arun, is this okay?’ or ‘Sir, what should I do?’ I never felt overwhelmed by the scale of working with big stars,” he added.
Notably, Veera Dheera Sooran, featuring a stellar cast including Chiyaan Vikram, S.J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dushara Vijayan, will see its second installment debuting on March 27 this year.
