Mumbai, Aug 4 (NationPress) Actress Divya Dutta, who is set to appear in the upcoming series “Mayasabha: The Rise of the Titans”, has shared her insights on the contrast between leadership and control, emphasizing that there exists a notable distinction rather than a “fine line.”
In the trailer for the series, Divya's character Irawati Bose is quoted saying: “Who says dictatorship is not leadership?”
When asked about her interpretation of the boundary between control and leadership, Divya conveyed to IANS: “That's not a fine line at all. It is a huge difference that differentiates control from leadership. A true leader creates a team, and a good leader guides the team effectively. Dictatorship, on the other hand, is entirely different.”
“I believe that line is a very ‘tha’ dialogue, if I may express in a Punjabi way,” the actress added.
Reflecting on the powerful role of Irawati Bose, Divya mentioned she was attracted to it not just for its strength, but also for the unique character dynamics it presented.
“The director approached me for this role. I chose it not solely for the strength of the character, but because the script is one of the most captivating I have encountered,” she stated.
She noted that such a drama is rarely seen on Indian screens.
“Additionally, I found the dynamics this woman shares with others to be a joy to portray. I anticipated having a lot of fun, and my director guided me through those subtle nuances, which truly satisfies a dedicated actor,” Divya expressed.
“Mayasabha: The Rise of the Titans” is a political drama web series directed by Deva Katta and Kiran Jay Kumar. It features Aadhi Pinisetty and Chaitanya Rao in leading roles, alongside Divya, Sai Kumar, Srikanth Iyengar, and Nassar.

The show is set to stream on Sony LIV starting August 7.
