Mumbai, Aug 5 (NationPress) The uproar surrounding the AI-modified conclusion of the Dhanush-led film ‘Raanjhanaa’ is intensifying, with the artistic community denouncing it as a severe breach of ethics and an abuse of authority by the film's producers.
Farhan Akhtar, a versatile figure in Bollywood currently anticipating the premiere of his war drama ‘120 Bahadur’, has chosen to support the film's director, Aanand L. Rai, whose approval was overlooked prior to the modification of the film's ending.
At the trailer unveiling of ‘120 Bahadur’ in Lower Parel, Mumbai, Farhan stated, “I will consistently stand by the creator of the film. If the creator is dissatisfied with alterations made to their work, my allegiance lies with them. I am not familiar with the intricate details of the situation, but that’s my stance.”
Farhan’s business partner, Ritesh Sidhwani, co-owner of Excel Entertainment, echoed his sentiments, “I concur with Farhan. AI is a tool we must embrace responsibly. In the past, we relied on libraries for research, but with Google, our approach changed. We need to utilize AI wisely.”
“We must avoid becoming complacent with it. I believe that any changes should only occur with the consent of the involved parties. I am aware of the situation but not firsthand, and I do not find it acceptable if filmmakers and actors have not consented. AI can be beneficial if used judiciously,” he concluded.
