Los Angeles, April 20 (NationPress) Actor Hayden Christensen is confirmed to return as the brooding teen padawan turned Sith Lord, Anakin Skywalker, in the much-anticipated season 2 of the streaming series 'Ahsoka'.

This exciting update was shared by the actor himself during the Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo, as reported by 'Variety'.

During a panel discussion featuring series star Rosario Dawson, creator Dave Filoni, and executive producer Jon Favreau, Christensen made a surprise appearance to join the conversation. He revealed his return to the 'Star Wars' franchise at the end of the panel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He mentioned, “There’s not much I can share, but Anakin will be back for season two.”

According to 'Variety', Christensen first portrayed Anakin Skywalker in the 2002 film 'Star Wars: Attack of the Clones' and reprised the role in 'Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith' in 2005. He also donned the cape of both Skywalker and Darth Vader in the Disney+ series 'Obi-Wan Kenobi'.

Additionally, he appeared in two episodes of 'Ahsoka' Season 1. During the Star Wars Celebration, Filoni elaborated on his vision to continue Anakin’s narrative following his work on the 2008 animated series 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'. He expressed his deep respect for franchise creator George Lucas.

“Anakin’s story was already told. George did that,” Filoni remarked. “I don’t have to add anything to that. I don’t have to explain anything about it. What George did is what he wanted, and it’s perfect. The story I’m telling is about Ahsoka. The reason why Anakin can be in this is because he’s relevant to her story. But I’m very careful in what I’m doing (so) that I’m not changing or adjusting anything that George did.”
