Mumbai, March 31 (NationPress) Renowned Bengali cinema and Bollywood actor Jisshu Sengupta recently shared his thoughts with IANS regarding the uproar surrounding certain controversial Bollywood songs. He emphasized that these tracks garner significant attention primarily because audiences are actively engaging with them.

He stated, “You cannot hold the lyricists or creators accountable for such songs as they resonate with listeners.”

“Tracks that spark controversy tend to receive the highest views and likes. So, if you find them unappealing, simply choose not to listen. It’s that straightforward.”

Further discussing the matter, he mentioned, “The industry boasts talents like Gulzar sahib and Javed sahib. It’s your choice whether to listen to what you enjoy or to ignore what you don’t.”

Jisshu also noted his desire to avoid negativity, saying, “While I could comment on topics that might stir controversy, I prefer not to. Why add to the negativity when there’s already so much around? I consider myself a very positive person, and I truly enjoy the works of Gulzar sahib and Javed sahib.”

He also pointed out the wide array of talent in various film industries. “There are numerous lyricists who have produced remarkable work not only in Bollywood but also in Marathi, Punjabi, the South, and of course, Bengal. You cannot compare Rabindranath Tagore to anyone else. In fact, I wouldn’t compare Gulzar sahib or Javed sahib with anyone either.”

In conclusion, the actor highlighted that it is ultimately the audiences who shape trends. “It’s up to you to decide what you wish to listen to. Creators will produce what they know best, and if people are consuming it, it will thrive. Personally, I adore listening to Javed sahab and Gulzar sahab.”

On a different note, the actor is excited about his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla, which features prominent stars like Akshay Kumar, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and the late veteran star Asrani.
