Notably, Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan have reunited for their upcoming film 'Thug Life' after a hiatus of nearly 38 years.

This film has created immense anticipation among fans and cinema enthusiasts, set to release on June 5.

Alongside Kamal Haasan, the film stars Silambarasan, Trisha, Joju George, Ashok Selvan, and Abhirami in key roles.

Kamal Haasan portrays a character named Rangaraya Sakthivel Naickan, which director Mani Ratnam's production company, Madras Talkies, has described as "an epic tale of power, rebellion, and triumph."

The film boasts music by A R Rahman and cinematography by Ravi K Chandran, with editing managed by Mani Ratnam's trusted editor Sreekar Prasad and action sequences coordinated by the stuntmasters, Anbariv.

Kamal Haasan recently expressed his strong belief in the film's potential and the anticipated support from audiences.

"Let me share my confidence. I don't want other producers to perceive this as a challenge; that’s not my intention. I have merely sold the satellite and OTT rights for this film. Everything else, we are managing ourselves, ensuring that Mani sir is not put at risk.
