Kangana Ranaut Proposes Film Collaboration to Karan Johar

Mumbai, Jan 10 (NationPress) Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is currently in the spotlight for her forthcoming film 'Emergency', has made a proposal to Bollywood's multi-talented Karan Johar.
During her recent appearance on the singing reality show 'Indian Idol', she expressed her desire to collaborate with KJo, affirming that she would ensure he receives a substantial role.
Kangana stated, "I apologize, but Karan sir should definitely consider doing a movie with me. I promise to offer him a remarkable role and create a film that steers clear of the usual mother-in-law versus daughter-in-law conflicts. This won't merely be a PR stunt; it will be a genuine cinematic piece with a solid role for him."
Previously, Kangana has addressed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC)'s ruling regarding the removal of certain segments from her film.
In an interview with IANS, she conveyed her preference for the original storyline as a director but acknowledged the CBFC's decision.
Kangana remarked, "I would have preferred the complete version. Nevertheless, I have no issues with the edits since the film was not created to ridicule anyone. It's acceptable. They omitted certain historical episodes entirely. The fact that these cuts do not affect my film is a testament to its strength."
She added, "The core story remains intact, and the film's message—patriotism—is still prevalent. Therefore, I don't believe the overall narrative has been compromised. However, if those scenes were filmed, they must have had a valid reason for their initial inclusion."
The film is set against the backdrop of the Emergency period in the 1970s, declared by the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
This cinematic venture promises to delve into one of the most discussed events in Indian democracy.
