Mumbai, June 26 (NationPress) Actor Karan Tacker states that filmmaker Neeraj Pandey provides actors with substantial creative freedom. He emphasized that the director’s meticulously crafted scripts leave little opportunity for actors to modify the writer’s vision.
When asked whether the director offers freedom or is rather detail-oriented, Karan shared with IANS: “Absolutely, he grants you significant freedom. This freedom manifests once they hand you the script; they encourage you to envision it in your own style. Sir’s unique approach to directing is that he enjoys immersing you into challenging scenarios—he prefers you to figure out how to navigate it independently.”
Karan further commented: “If you stumble, a skilled director like him will provide precise guidance and suggest minor tweaks to enhance your performance. This allows an actor to visualize things in their unique manner.”
However, he noted that Pandey’s scripts are so well-constructed that envisioning the character is not an arduous task.
“That’s the beauty of collaborating with him—his screenplay is exceptionally tight, and his writing is profoundly strong. I personally don’t feel compelled to modify anything. I firmly believe that if a writer excels, as an actor, you should strive to grasp the world they’ve created instead of altering it. That’s what I consistently aim to do.”
