Mumbai, Aug 17 (NationPress) Actor Karanvir Malhotra, who is garnering significant acclaim for his performance in the newly launched streaming series 'Andhera', revealed that the crew utilized humorous jokes as a way to unwind after filming intense scenes.
In an interview with IANS during the promotional activities for the show, Karanvir explained that they had a packed shooting schedule. However, once the director called 'cut', there was a notable shift from the emotional turmoil experienced on set.
He stated, "We had a demanding shooting schedule. The acting aspect is certainly present, but since it's a supernatural horror series, everything is heightened. Your performance needs to align with the surrounding intensity. There was a distinct contrast on set; if you observed us, you'd notice our different sides."
He added, "If you were to catch our behind-the-scenes footage, you'd see our serious demeanor during takes, but as soon as 'cut' was announced, we would burst into the silliest and most ridiculous jokes. We even formed a group called the 'Hall of Lame'. Instead of retreating to our individual trailers or deeply contemplating the scenes, we enjoyed each other’s company as a cohesive team."
Set in Mumbai, 'Andhera' showcases Inspector Kalpana Kadam and Jay, a medical student, as they delve into a missing-person investigation that reveals a dark presence lurking beneath the city.
The series is directed by Raaghav Dhar and features stars like Surveen Chawla, Priya Bapat, and Prajakta Koli.
