Mumbai, Aug 17 (NationPress) Actor Karanvir Malhotra is garnering significant acclaim for his role in the newly released streaming series 'Andhera'. He revealed that the cast employed lame jokes as a method to cool off after filming intense scenes.
While speaking with IANS during promotional activities for the series, he explained that they had a rigorous shooting schedule. However, once the director called cut, the atmosphere shifted dramatically from the emotional turmoil experienced during filming.
He stated, “We had a packed schedule shooting throughout the day. The performances were intense, especially given the supernatural horror theme, which raised the stakes. Our acting had to align with the heightened emotions surrounding us. The contrast was evident, and anyone observing our set would see two very different dynamics.”
He added, “If you caught our behind-the-scenes moments, you’d witness a serious atmosphere during takes, followed by us cracking the silliest and lamest jokes as soon as the cameras stopped rolling. We even formed a group called ‘the Hall of Lame’. Instead of retreating to our individual trailers, we stayed together, prepared as a cohesive team.”
'Andhera', based in Mumbai, narrates the story of Inspector Kalpana Kadam and Jay, a medical student, who find themselves embroiled in a missing-person investigation that reveals a dark presence lurking beneath the city.
The series is expertly directed by Raaghav Dhar and features talents such as Surveen Chawla, Priya Bapat, and Prajakta Koli.
