Mumbai, Aug 17 (NationPress) Actor Karanvir Malhotra, who has garnered significant acclaim for his role in the newly released streaming series 'Andhera', revealed that the crew employed lame jokes as a method to unwind after filming intense scenes.
In an interview with IANS during the show's promotional tour, he explained that the team had a rigorous shooting schedule. However, once the director called cut, the atmosphere shifted dramatically from the emotional turmoil portrayed in the scenes.
He remarked, "We were filming extensively throughout the day. While the performances are key, being a supernatural horror series means that everything feels heightened. Your acting must align with the intensity of the surroundings. If you visited our set, you'd witness these stark contrasts in our demeanor."
He continued, "If you were to watch our behind-the-scenes footage, you'd notice a serious tone during filming, but once cut, we would burst into the most bizarre and lame jokes. We even formed a group called 'the Hall of Lame'. We didn't retreat to our trailers to contemplate the scenes; instead, we were well-prepared as a cohesive unit."
'Andhera', set in Mumbai, revolves around Inspector Kalpana Kadam and Jay, a medical student, who find themselves embroiled in a missing-person investigation that reveals a dark force lurking beneath the city.
The series is helmed by Raaghav Dhar and features a talented cast including Surveen Chawla, Priya Bapat, and Prajakta Koli.
You can catch the series streaming on Prime Video.
