What Cooling Off Mechanism Did Karanvir Malhotra Use on the 'Andhera' Sets?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Aug 17 (NationPress) Actor Karanvir Malhotra, who is garnering significant acclaim for his role in the newly released streaming series 'Andhera', revealed that the cast employed lame jokes as a method to unwind after filming intense scenes.
In an interview with IANS during the promotional campaign for the show, the actor shared that they engaged in extensive shooting throughout the day. Once the director called for a cut, the atmosphere was a stark contrast to the emotional turmoil experienced on set.
He explained to IANS, “Our shooting days were packed. While the performances were crucial, being a supernatural horror series meant everything was heightened. Your acting needs to resonate with the surrounding tone. There was a noticeable dichotomy on set; if you visited us, you'd witness our contrasting personalities.”
He continued, “If you were to view our behind-the-scenes moments, you'd notice a serious demeanor during takes. However, once the cameras stopped rolling, we would erupt into the most bizarre and silly jokes. We even have a group called the 'Hall of Lame'. Rather than retreating to our individual trailers to overthink the scenes, we were well-prepared as a team.”
'Andhera', set against the backdrop of Mumbai, chronicles the story of Inspector Kalpana Kadam and Jay, a medical student, who find themselves embroiled in a mysterious missing-person case that reveals a dark entity lurking beneath the city.
Directed by Raaghav Dhar, the series also features Surveen Chawla, Priya Bapat, and Prajakta Koli.
The series is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.
