Chennai, Oct 18 (NationPress) The producers of director Rahul Sadasivan's highly anticipated horror thriller, 'Dies Irae', have made a public appeal on Saturday for fans and the wider community to refrain from creating, sharing, or reposting unofficial posters of the film, which they claim distort the movie's intended atmosphere.

On their social media accounts, All Night Shifts, one of the production companies behind the movie, stated, "We appreciate the affection, passion, and creativity surrounding #Diesirae. However, we kindly request that you do not create, share, or reshare unofficial posters that misrepresent the film's intended tone. All official art and updates can be found on @allnightshifts across all social channels. Thank you! - Team Diés Iraé"

The film has already received an 'A' certification from the Censor Board, clearing it for release.

Previously known as #NSS2, 'Dies Irae' features Pranav Mohanlal in the leading role.

Anticipation for the film has been building ever since its initial announcement, with excitement reaching new heights following the recent trailer release.

The trailer opens with an elderly woman telling a man that he should have spoken up when he sensed something was amiss with the child. The man responds by questioning how he could reveal his feelings to others. "What would they think?" he asks. The elderly woman replies, "And now, didn’t that feeling turn out to be true?"

It becomes apparent that the child being discussed is portrayed by Pranav Mohanlal. The trailer suggests that Pranav's character is the only son of a family that the neighbors suspect is cursed. He encounters bizarre and chilling occurrences but struggles to confide in anyone as no one would believe him.

This film, which draws inspiration from real-life events, is set to premiere just in time for Halloween this year.

'Dies Irae' has garnered significant attention due to its creative team. The horror-thriller is being brought to life by the same crew that created the Malayalam cult classic, ‘Brammayugam’, starring Malayalam superstar Mammootty.

It is worth noting that 'Dies Irae' began filming in the last week of March this year. The shoot took place in Vadakara, Calicut, with reports suggesting that the makers aimed to wrap up the entire film in just 40 days. Remarkably, the crew completed filming by April, ahead of schedule.

Shehnad Jalal, whose cinematography in ‘Brammayugam’ received critical acclaim, is responsible for the visuals of this new project. The art direction is handled by Jothish Shankar, who also worked on ‘Brammayugam’, while editing is done by Shafique Mohammed Ali, who served as the editor for ‘Brammayugam’.

Director Rahul Sadasivan's ‘Bramayugam’ was a critically lauded success, depicting horror set against the backdrop of Kerala's dark ages. The narrative focused on three male characters and was filmed in black and white. In addition to Mammootty, the film featured Sidharth Bharathan, Arjun Ashokan, and Amalda Liz. Dialogues were penned by Malayalam novelist TD Ramakrishnan, renowned for his novel Francis Itty Cora.
