Mumbai, Dec 1 (NationPress) — Renowned actor Manoj Pahwa, celebrated for his natural comedic talent, shared a rather amusing experience from the set of Single Papa that left him both entertained and unexpectedly disheartened.

When asked about working alongside a four-month-old infant on “Single Papa”, Manoj candidly expressed to IANS: “He disappointed me. The baby.”

Reflecting on his extensive experience with child actors in productions like Just Mohabbat and Bol Baby Bol, he noted: “I've worked with kids in the past, like in Just Mohabbat and Bol Baby Bol, all these were with kids.”

“So, working with kids, as an actor, I had the advantage. The shot is ready, and where did he go? Sir, he’s horse riding. He’s a kid. He dashed off to the beach. So, there was a gap to rest in between,” he chuckled, adding that these impromptu pauses often provided actors with some much-needed downtime.

However, this time, things unfolded quite differently.

“I thought, that’s fine. He’s a child. He’ll cry, and we’ll get a break,” Pahwa remarked. But the little one proved to be remarkably composed.

“He was incredibly professional. He was quiet. Wherever you wanted to look, you had to look. But it felt like he had learned this from his mother's womb,” he added.

The series also features Kunal Kemmu, Ayesha Raza, and Prajakta Koli.

With Kunal Kemmu in the lead role, the storyline centers around Gaurav Gehlot, affectionately known as GG, a lovable man-child whose emotional maturity is very much a work in progress. His sudden choice to adopt a baby right after his divorce shocks his family, prompting them to contemplate rebooting him. This sets off a chain of unexpected chaos as the Gehlots strive to comprehend how a man who still misplaces his socks intends to raise a whole human being.

Created and co-produced by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, with Shashank Khaitan as the executive producer, and directing alongside Hitesh Kewalya and Neeraj Udhwani, the series is produced by Aditya Pittie and Samar Khan under the Juggernaut Productions banner.

Single Papa is set to premiere on December 12 on Netflix.
