Raja Kumari: Rapping is an Extension of My Being

Mumbai, Dec 25 (NationPress) Rapper Raja Kumari, recognized for her vocal contribution to the song “Beast” from the Varun Dhawan film “Baby John”, stated that for her, rapping is much more than just making music; it is an integral part of her identity.
She has showcased her vocal talent in “Beast”, with music composed by Thaman S, featuring Varun in a dynamic role.
"I am incredibly thrilled to witness such a flood of affection from the audience. While I invested my heart and soul into Beast Mode and Baby John's track, the love it’s generating is truly overwhelming, and I am filled with gratitude," remarked the raptress.
"For me, rapping goes beyond just crafting music. It is a part of me, and I am delighted to see the audience embracing it wholeheartedly!" she added.
In 2023, Raja Kumari also performed for the title track of “Jawan”, which stars Shah Rukh Khan.
Known by her real name, Svetha Yallapragada Rao, Raja Kumari is celebrated for her collaborations with various renowned artists, including Gwen Stefani, Iggy Azalea, Fifth Harmony, Sidhu Moosewala, Knife Party, and Fall Out Boy.
Discussing “Baby John”, which is directed by Kalees, the film also features Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff. It is produced by Atlee and serves as a remake of his 2016 Tamil film Theri.
In “Baby John”, Varun showcases his action hero persona, executing numerous thrilling stunts.
The original Theri starred Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Amy Jackson, Nainika, Radhika Sarathkumar, Rajendran, and Mahendran. In this film, a former cop embarks on a mission to safeguard his daughter from adversaries from his past.
This film marked Kumar's second directorial project following Raja Rani (2013), whose success impressed Vijay enough to collaborate with the director. Atlee developed the script, which was categorically an emotional action thriller, with a formal announcement made in September 2014.
